About Father Cusulos

ABOUTReverend Father John Cusulos was assigned as Protopresbyter of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 23, 2010 by Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, Colorado. Reverend Cusulos has recently celebrated his 30th year as an ordained priest during this past Easter. Reverend Cusulos has served almost 25 years of his priesthood in Wyoming and the past almost 14 years as presbyter of Holy Greek Orthodox Church in Casper, Wyoming.

Reverend Cusulos was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and at age 12 moved to Denver, Colorado with his family. He is a divorced priest with two grown children; a son, Paul Cusulos, who lives and works in Casper, Wyoming and a daughter, Aleena Cusulos, who is a nurse in Salt Lake City, Utah. Reverend Cusulos refers to his children as his pride and joy in life.

Reverend Cusulos went to seminary in Brookline, Massachusetts and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Hellenic College in 1979 and Masters of Divinity in 1981 at Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology while at the seminary. He also received a Masters of Arts Counseling at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico in May 1996.

Reverend Cusulos is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Therapist with the State of Wyoming since October of 1997. He has worked in the field of mental health and addiction since being licensed in Wyoming as a therapist.
