Bake Sale Goods

Bake Sale Information:
We are a small Orthodox community. Our profits from this sale go to supporting our church. The kitchen facility remodel, which was necessary for us to continue baking for our community, has been completed. We are still fundraising to finish paying for some of the unforeseen costs. We appreciate all the support that our communities have given us in the past. All of the bake sale items will be available to the general public on November 18,2016 (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm). If we have leftovers– November 19 from 9 a.m. until all baked goods are gone.

paper-thin sweet bread roll filled with nuts, butter, honey and sugar.

Greek sweet bread

sweet yeast bread made of eggs, milk, and butter

Koulourakia

butter cookies

Baklava

a rich sweet pastry made with layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey sugar syrup.

Kafiti Rolls

baklava filling wrapped in shredded phylo dough and sweeted with honey sugar syrup.

Potica Cookies

cookies combine the traditional walnut filling with a light and flaky crust for a cookie version of Potica.




Cheese Pies

a combination of feta and ricotta cheese wrapped and baked in buttered phyllo dough.

Butter cookies and crushed almonds then dusted with powdered sugar.

Melomakarona

similar to Finikia (do not have the nut filling) soaked in honey syrup then sprinkled with crushed walnuts.

Finikia

made using flour, baking powder, orange juice, and oil. No dairy products are used. The finikia are filled with a nut mixture dipped honey syrup and rolled in a mixture of cinnamon, sugar and ground walnuts.

Sesame cookies

butter cookie rolled in sesame seeds.

Biscotti

butter cookies and crushed almonds then dusted with powdered sugar.twice-baked, oblong-shaped, dry, crunchy, and dipped in a drink.

Galatobouriko

Sweet custard baked in layers of phyllo dough topped with a sugar honey syrup.

Pan of Pastitio

Baked Greek Lasagna: Noodles, Greek Style Meat Sauce topped with a rich Béchamel Sauce.

Pan of Spanakopita

spinach, feta cheese, cottage cheese, spring onions, onions , eggs and seasonings baked in layers of buttered phyllo pastry.

Pan of Baklava

a rich sweet pastry made with layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey sugar syrup.
